The HUSH Group Inc. Most Valuable Pupil (MVP) Awards Program

The HUSH Group Inc. is a private, Washington DC based, non-partisan organization that is personally and responsibly involved in multiple societal concerns ranging from disease epidemics, natural disasters, educational concerns and political issues. During 2005, we committed to collaborate and join partnerships with organizations that support people and communities. Our objective is to build synergetic relationships that will result in people collectively, making significant investments in our children, and hence our future. We regularly plan, promote and execute social fundraising events where the monetary gains are utilized to support humanity and education.

Our Most Valuable Pupil (MVP) Awards Program is designed to recognize and reward students who have exemplified a significant and positive change in their grades, behavior and attitude. We realize there are a vast number of award programs available for youths that are extremely gifted and talented. Consequently, there are few existing programs established to encourage and reward youths that have not surpassed the bar, but have made tremendous improvements nonetheless. Our program includes a ceremony of public acknowledgement, recognition and rewards to those individuals making such a positive change in their lives. This program serves to underscore the fact that improvements are recognized, appreciated and can make a significant difference in ones life. Young people need to believe that the process of putting forth efforts to make or become different can result in significant and life-altering changes.

The HUSH Group Inc. - MVP Program Director collaborates with the school principle and/or the designated program contact person, to identify candidates to receive this award. Each student is introduced to the HUSH MVP Program Director and a short paper is provided by the school on each student --- detailing their distinguished achievements. The HUSH MVP team reviews all of the student achievement write-ups and makes a determination on the awardees. The number of student awards vary based on the amount of Program contributions the HUSH Group Inc. receives. Contributions include money and various other types of donated items, to be presented to the winners on award day. The presentation is held in the school auditorium and the HUSH Group members and contributors are invited to participate in the awards program. The awards presentation is executed as a public school function, so that the students, school professionals, parents, contributors and HUSH Group members can all participate in the festive occasion. Also, it serves as a wonderful morale booster for everyone involved. The awards are presented on a quarterly basis to multiple students at a specified school, and students of all ages and grades are eligible.
